ROHDE+ROHDE Manufacturer’s Warranty

ROHDE+ROHDE Ursula Rohde is the manufacturer of covers for the CAMBRIDGE, NOVA, MAXIM, and YORK series. A five-year warranty is granted on these products, commencing from the date of purchase.

This warranty is in addition to and does not limit your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.


1. Scope of the Warranty

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that occur despite proper use of the product.


2. Exclusions

The warranty does not cover the following:

  • Scratches and normal wear and tear;
  • Damage caused by improper installation;
  • Damage resulting from temperatures or humidity levels not typical of residential environments;
  • Damage caused by cleaning with any substances other than pure water or a soft cloth;
  • Damage caused by external forces, such as heat, tension, pressure, impacts, or deformation.

3. Claiming the Warranty

Any warranty claim must be asserted in writing within one month of discovering the defect. A proof of purchase is required to validate the claim.


4. Warranty Remedies

At its sole discretion, ROHDE+ROHDE will either:

  • Repair the product, or
  • Provide a replacement product of equivalent value.

If repair is not possible and no replacement product is available, a refund of the purchase price will be issued.


5. Territorial Scope

This warranty is valid exclusively for customers domiciled within the European Union.

Manufacturer's Warranty for AVE Products

The frames and front plates (covers) manufactured by ROHDE+ROHDE for the NOVA, CAMBRIDGE, YORK, and MAXIM series are equipped with electronic inserts (e.g., light switch and socket inserts) from the manufacturer AVE S.p.A., Italy. These inserts are supplied by AVE in their original packaging and are passed on unchanged by ROHDE+ROHDE during delivery.

For these electronic inserts, only the manufacturer’s warranty from AVE S.p.A. applies. ROHDE+ROHDE is not the warranty provider for these products but voluntarily assists buyers in asserting any warranty claims against AVE.

Manufacturer’s Warranty of AVE S.p.A.

1. Warranty Provider

ROHDE+ROHDE Ursula Rohde is not the warranty provider, but will voluntarily assist customers with the warranty process upon request.


2. Scope of Warranty

AVE guarantees the proper functioning of its products for a period of five years against manufacturing defects or quality-related issues attributable to the manufacturer.

Excluded from the warranty are products from the following divisions:

  • Green Division
  • Light-Blue Division (e.g., security products, burglar alarm systems, fire detectors, technical alarm systems)
  • Domina Division (home automation, hotel management)
  • Fans and other ventilation devices

These products are subject exclusively to the provisions of the Italian Civil Code and the Italian Consumer Protection Law.


3. Start of Warranty Period

The warranty period begins:

  • With the production date, identifiable by the batch number indicated on the product,
  • If the batch number is missing: with the delivery date, evidenced by a valid proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, etc.).

4. Asserting a Warranty Claim

A warranty claim must be asserted in writing within one month of discovering the defect.


5. Exclusion of Warranty Claims

The warranty claim is excluded, in particular, if:

  • The product was not stored properly,
  • It was not installed in accordance with the applicable installation instructions,
  • The defect is not attributable to any fault of AVE.

6. Warranty Claim Process

In the event of approved returns within the warranty period:

  • AVE will examine the product,
  • Confirm any non-conformity, if applicable,
  • Replace the product with an identical or equivalent product.

Legal Notice

This manufacturer’s warranty is a voluntary service provided by AVE S.p.A. Your statutory warranty rights against ROHDE+ROHDE as the seller remain unaffected and exist independently of this manufacturer’s warranty.
